This is not a typical sightseeing tour – it is a heritage journey designed for those who want to reconnect with their Croatian roots. Together, we retrace the steps of your ancestors, visiting the villages, churches and landscapes that shaped your family’s story.
Before the tour, we work with you on research and contacts, using local knowledge and archives to prepare an itinerary that makes sense for your specific family background. On the day itself, your private guide and driver take you to key locations – perhaps the village where your grandparents were born, the church where they were baptised, or a cemetery where generations are buried.
Along the way, we help you navigate local institutions, interpret documents and communicate with locals. If you’re lucky, this might even lead to meeting distant relatives you never knew you had. It’s an emotional, meaningful day – often with as many quiet moments as big discoveries.

Tihana made the one day we had in Zagreb special. It was a rare rainy day, but (after realizing that we only had the one day) she modified the tour to make the best of it. Of course seeing the main sites in Zagreb was great, but what we enjoyed most was talking with Tihana and hearing her perspective on life in Zagreb/Croatia and its recent history. She also provided great recommendations (e.g., restaurants) for both before and after our tour (which included other parts of Croatia we were visiting). Tihana definitely helped us enjoy and make the most of our time in Zagreb!
Tihana was a delight for start to finish. She is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about Zagreb and the history of Croatia. At every turn she generously shared a wealth of insights not so obvious to us as outsiders. It was obvious that her motivation was to optimize our time, understanding, experience in Zagreb. This included tips on restaurants, foods to try, walking tours we could do on our own, and even thoughts on the places we were next planning to travel within Croatia. We were sad to say goodbye
An excellent day with Tirana-My wife and I spent the mid-morning to mid-afternoon with Tihana on the "Total Zagreb Tour." From the time I booked the tour she had excellent and helpful communication with us on tips for enjoying our Zagreb time which was so appreciated. Today (10/6/2023) she gave us a wonderful tour of this lovely city at both a pleasurable pace and with as much detail as you would want.
