Tour description
Just a short drive from Zagreb lies Plešivica, a small wine region with a big reputation – often called Croatia’s “Champagne region”. This is Tihana’s signature tour, crafted for wine lovers who want more than a standard tasting.
We begin with a stop in the charming town of Samobor, famous for its architecture and its irresistible kremšnita cream cake, which you simply have to try. Afterwards, we drive into the hills of Plešivica, where Chardonnay and Pinot Noir thrive, alongside innovative orange and sparkling wines.
Your main stop is a family-run winery, where the winemaker personally guides you through a tasting of around six wines (five still wines and one sparkling), paired with charcuterie and local cheeses. The pace is slow and relaxed: plenty of time for questions, photos and simply enjoying the view over the vineyards.
If you want to make it a full gourmet day, we can arrange a traditional lunch in an authentic hilltop restaurant overlooking the vineyards – including the option of baked duck “ispod peke”.

Reviews
My family enjoyed our tour with Tihana. She is so kind, engaging, and has amazing stories to tell. We loved learning about Zagreb and its rich history. She even gave me restaurant recommendations which my family appreciated. Thank you Tihana!
Tihana was a delight for start to finish. She is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about Zagreb and the history of Croatia. At every turn she generously shared a wealth of insights not so obvious to us as outsiders. It was obvious that her motivation was to optimize our time, understanding, experience in Zagreb. This included tips on restaurants, foods to try, walking tours we could do on our own, and even thoughts on the places we were next planning to travel within Croatia. We were sad to say goodbye
Tihana made the one day we had in Zagreb special. It was a rare rainy day, but (after realizing that we only had the one day) she modified the tour to make the best of it. Of course seeing the main sites in Zagreb was great, but what we enjoyed most was talking with Tihana and hearing her perspective on life in Zagreb/Croatia and its recent history. She also provided great recommendations (e.g., restaurants) for both before and after our tour (which included other parts of Croatia we were visiting). Tihana definitely helped us enjoy and make the most of our time in Zagreb!
