Private, customizable Zagreb walking tour covering all the highlights – Upper Town, Dolac Market, Cathedral and more, at your own pace.

Tour description

This classic Zagreb walking tour is designed to show you the very best of the city in a relaxed and personal way. We start at the obvious meeting point – Ban Jelačić Square, by the statue of the Ban on his horse – and from there we slowly weave our way through the historic centre.

You’ll explore the medieval streets of the Upper Town, descend through the evocative war tunnel, visit the lively Dolac Market and admire the Cathedral from the outside. If you like, we can also add a visit to the Museum of Broken Relationships – it’s one of Zagreb’s most beloved museums and a brilliant window into local humour and emotion.

This tour is fully customizable: tell us what interests you most – history, architecture, everyday life, food, or maybe hidden corners – and we’ll adjust the pace and focus accordingly. Think of it as walking through the city with a local friend who just happens to be a professional guide.

Reviews

Tihana was a delight for start to finish. She is deeply knowledgeable and passionate about Zagreb and the history of Croatia. At every turn she generously shared a wealth of insights not so obvious to us as outsiders. It was obvious that her motivation was to optimize our time, understanding, experience in Zagreb. This included tips on restaurants, foods to try, walking tours we could do on our own, and even thoughts on the places we were next planning to travel within Croatia. We were sad to say goodbye

My family enjoyed our tour with Tihana. She is so kind, engaging, and has amazing stories to tell. We loved learning about Zagreb and its rich history. She even gave me restaurant recommendations which my family appreciated. Thank you Tihana!

Tihana made the one day we had in Zagreb special. It was a rare rainy day, but (after realizing that we only had the one day) she modified the tour to make the best of it. Of course seeing the main sites in Zagreb was great, but what we enjoyed most was talking with Tihana and hearing her perspective on life in Zagreb/Croatia and its recent history. She also provided great recommendations (e.g., restaurants) for both before and after our tour (which included other parts of Croatia we were visiting). Tihana definitely helped us enjoy and make the most of our time in Zagreb!
